– PS4 Mod Storage limit is approximately 900 MB at present. We are working with Sony on sound file processing support in a future update. The whole “where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition,” might be the sticking point. Bethesda’s statement gives us a potential clue. I wonder what the problem is on Sony’s end. That takes away one of the key selling points for Skyrim Special Edition on PS4. “After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition,” a post on Bethesda’s website reads.We will provide an update if and when this situation changes. For awhile Bethesda has been working with Sony to bring mods to the PS4. However with the PS4 and Xbox One, mod support has made its way to consoles.
So much so that many a PC gamer prefers playing these games on PC for mod support alone. Also known as modifications - these user generated pieces of content add a tremendous amount of replayability to the base game when you’re done with its main storyline. One of the biggest draws of Fallout 4 and Bethesda’s soon to be released Skyrim Special Edition is mods.
